IoT Visionary Will be Joined by Odido Executive Mario de Lijster to Describe the Impact of Physical AI Applications on Network Performance, Cost-Efficiency, and Security

Cohen will be joined on stage by Mario de Lijster, senior proposition manager for IoT for the Dutch mobile operator Odido, who will provide an MNO’s perspective on the importance of ensuring network connectivity in the Physical AI age. The Things Conference takes place September 22-23 at the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam. Cohen’s session is set for 11:00 a.m. on September 22.

In his remarks, Cohen will describe the pressure that network operators are facing to provide reliable, secure connectivity in the Physical AI world. He will touch on the management and transmission of the ever-increasing volume of data produced by Physical AI applications, maintaining security processes and protocols, and satisfying evolving sovereignty mandates. During the presentation, de Lijster will share Odido’s experience in addressing the network and operational challenges presented by Physical AI services.

“According to a recent study by Gartner, the number of AI-enabled IoT machines increased some 24 percent last year, driven in large measure by the demand for Physical AI applications and services like smart manufacturing, robotics, and geolocation services. This trend will only continue to accelerate, placing enormous pressure on network providers and businesses that are investing heavily in Physical AI solutions to improve their own efficiencies,” explained Cohen. “This is a critical juncture for the IoT industry as it looks for network concepts and solutions that will satisfy this demand.
